The goal of the Garden-of-Hope project is to provide nutrition and skills training for the children of the Fairfield Children’s Home (FCH). The funds raised for this project will purchase goats, chickens, rabbits, and seeds for vegetables including tomatoes, onions, carrots, beans, wheat, and broccoli. In addition, the funds will be used for fertilizer, chemicals, labor, buildings and provision for the animals.
The project will enable Fairfield Children's Home (FCH) to produce its own vegetables, meat and milk, as well as, greatly reduce the operating expenditures of the orphanage. In addition, the children of FCH will learn valuable, and perhaps profitable, skills to be employed in the future.
